One of the loudest and fun events in the Roanoke Civic Center is coming this weekend. If you live in an apartment in Roanoke, VA tickets are still available for the Monster Jam.

If you are looking for something exciting and different to do this weekend in Roanoke, the Monster Jam returns for three shows.  The event features Advance Auto Part’s "Grinder" and celebrates the 30th anniversary of the world famous "Gravedigger."

"It's a two hour escape from reality.  No matter what's going on at home or at work you come here you forget about it.  It's a lot of fun," said Frank Krmel, driver of the monster truck "Grinder."  "What you see on TV you see here times 10.  The trucks are so big and so loud.  You'll see three contests: The wheelie competition, the side by side racing, and freestyle.  Between the three, the two hours will go by like that and you'll want to come back the next day for sure."

The action starts tonight at 7:30 p.m.  The shows Saturday are at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
